Jos syntyvyys pysyy pienenä, niin so what?

There's more to the saying "men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses" than meets the eye. Along similar lines, the study found that feelings of 'pulling power' significantly correlated with eyesight correction: 50% of those who'd changed from glasses to contacts reported a definite increase in their abilities. None reported any decrease. On the other hand, 80% of those that wore glasses on the night felt less able to attract a mate.

"Feelings of enhanced "pulling power" and improved self-confidence amongst contact lens wearers translated into tangible results on the night," said Dr McNicholas. "In fact, this group was over three times more likely to report 'hugging more, four times as likely to report kissing and contact lens wearers were also six times more likely to report "fondling" more than usual." Dr McNicholas said: "These days there are plenty of great designer frames available, and lots of people look good in glasses. Nevertheless, if you need eyesight correction, and you want to improve your 'pulling power' on an evening out , it's worth changing to contact lenses before you go out."
"Vaikean nakin" esittäminen kannattaa:
The dating strategy known as "playing hard to get" may be more than silly vanity or coyness, according to research recently published by two economists. Their conclusion, according to Anderson, is that playing hard to get may be an effective way for an individual to show that he or she could be a valuable, high-quality mate. "Our dating behavior," says Anderson, "reflects the kind of 'social price' we have set for ourselves. If our personal standards and courtship demands are high, we've put a high price on ourselves. In the marketplace, it's common to assume that the more expensive products are of higher quality. Putting a high price on ourselves implies that we have a lot to offer as a potential mate."
Homofobia ei olekaan fobia, vaan inhon tunteista alkunsa saava asenne:
Fear and disgust tend to arise out of different circumstances or contexts, and they manifest in very different ways. While fear causes a "get me away from that" reaction, disgust manifests as "get that away from me." These different emotional reactions can lead to very different behaviors. "If contempt and disgust drive homophobia, then it seems more of a moral or social problem than a psychopathological one," Lohr said. "If we start to consider negative attitudes pathological - implying that there's something medically wrong with prejudiced people, that they're somehow sick with their own attitudes - that seems to me misguided."
